Privacy statement
Which data we process through this website, why, for how long, and what your rights are.
This is a translation for your convenience. In the event of any difference in interpretation, the Dutch version of this privacy statement prevails.
In this privacy statement you can read which personal data Maggie’s Brocante & Meer processes through this website, why we do so, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We collect as little as possible: only what is needed to handle your request or review.
Who are we?
Maggie’s Brocante & Meer is responsible for processing your personal data through this website.
Groesbeek (municipality of Berg en Dal, the Netherlands)
Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 77655702

Requesting an appointment
If you request an appointment through the website to visit our warehouse, we process:
- your name;
- your email address and/or phone number;
- your preferred dates, the number of people and the items you would like to see;
- any comments you add.
Why: to contact you and schedule the appointment. We do this at your request, prior to a possible purchase (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
How long: the request is automatically deleted from the website 30 days after receipt. You also receive a confirmation email and we receive a notification; we do not keep those emails longer than necessary for the appointment.
Writing a review
If you leave a review, we process your name, your town (optional), your rating and your text. Your email address is optional; we only use it if we have a question about your review and never show it on the website.
Why: to show your experience on the website, after checking it. We only do so with your consent, which you give by ticking the box in the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time; we will then remove your review.
How long: we keep your review for as long as it is on the website. Your email address is automatically deleted 30 days after your review is published. Reviews that we do not publish are automatically deleted after 60 days at the latest.
Protection against spam
To prevent misuse of the forms, we check how many messages are sent from one internet connection. For this, your IP address is made unrecognisable (hashed) and stored temporarily for no more than one hour. It is not stored with your message.
Cookies and local storage
This website uses no tracking or advertising cookies and no analytics software such as Google Analytics. If you choose the light or dark view, your browser remembers that choice (in the local storage of your own device). This is purely for your convenience; we cannot see that choice.
No third-party services
Everything you see on this website — texts, photos and fonts — comes from our own server. We load nothing from other parties (such as Google Fonts, maps, videos or social media buttons), so your IP address is not shared with anyone else when you view the website.
Marktplaats and social media
Our products are sold via Marktplaats (the Dutch online marketplace) and other online platforms. The website contains links to our listings and to our pages on Marktplaats, Instagram and Facebook. If you click on them, you go to those websites, and their own privacy statements apply. No data is passed on to these parties unless you click yourself.
Who do we share data with?
We never sell your data and do not share it with others for their own purposes. The website runs at a hosting company that stores the data on our behalf: mijn.host, based in Amsterdam. We have a data processing agreement with this party. As with any website, the hosting provider keeps technical log files for security purposes (such as IP address and time of a visit); these are automatically deleted after a short time.
Security
The website uses a secure connection (https). Only we have access to the website’s management, each with our own account.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object and to withdraw your consent. To do so, send an email to info@maggiesbrocante.nl; we will respond within one month. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
We may update this privacy statement if the website changes. The latest version is always on this page.
